The Argumentative Indian

With due respect to Amartya Sen, I am borrowing the title of his book (even without reading it, but know its contents through reviews). I was most impressed by its title, may because of my experence backhome with the people. Because I always believed that Indians are generally more argumentative.

==> We tend to discuss things, which has no relevance and importance to us.

==> We give long speeches on topics, which at best we have only heard of, and have no personal experience to corelate.

==> We get argumentative for no reason and end up advising without any substance.

==> Facts are overridden by talks and truth are overridden by speeches.

==> Tend to believe that whoever argues the most, is correct. But in Psychology, it is the liar who tends to argue and speak out more because of the inherent fear of the fact.

==> "last word freaks" are not a rarity. These characters always would want to end any discussion. They feel that the by ending the discussion, their view has been accepted (again, as I have mentioned in the above point).

I am not against any arguments, but just against arguments for the sake of arguing.
